I Tried Following My Blog Schedule… and Got Schooled

Confessions of a Site Owner
Well, look who’s here—me, finally posting a new blog after a “brief” pause (if you consider “brief” to mean “my planner gave up and became a coaster”). If you’re reading this, you’re either a die-hard EDUHaHa fan or a fellow business owner who just googled “how to forgive yourself for missing your own deadlines.” Either way, welcome to my confessional.
Let’s get honest: I had every intention of hitting publish last week. In fact, I even color-coded my calendar (spoiler: that does NOT make things magically happen). But somewhere between designing shirts, troubleshooting automations, and trying to decode the latest Google Sheets CSV disaster (why do my product handles suddenly look like Egyptian hieroglyphics?), the blog schedule got demoted to a gentle suggestion. Right next to “don’t eat leftover snacks” and “only one cup of coffee.”
What Actually Happened:
- My CSV import decided that “helpful error message” was a myth, turning product updates into a game of digital whack-a-mole.
- The dog needed a walk, my inbox exploded, and—let’s be real—I binge-watched three episodes of “Entrepreneurs Behaving Badly.”
- The irony? I lost track of time while working on a new “I Told You So” shirt—only to realize my blog schedule was literally telling me so the whole time.
- Oh, and did I mention my to-do list was last seen fleeing the scene with my sanity?
The Business Owner Truth:
Here’s the thing: running a brand, building systems, and keeping up with life is like spinning plates… on a unicycle… during a fire drill. Sometimes you nail it. Sometimes you just hope nobody notices the plate rolling across the floor.
But if you’re reading this, congratulations: you are my people. You get it. You know that sometimes “progress” is measured in small victories—like finally matching socks, or posting a blog even a week late.
Lesson Learned (Sort Of):
Forgive yourself for dropping the ball. Pick it back up, laugh, and toss it in the air again—preferably with a fresh cup of coffee. Remember: nobody remembers when you posted, only that you showed up with something worth reading. (And hopefully a coupon code.)
Now it’s your turn:
Drop your own chaos hacks, time fails, or best “oops, I meant to do that” stories in the comments. Or just say hi, so I know it’s not just my mom reading these.
Next week’s post will be on time.
Probably.
Maybe.
Okay, let’s just call it “aspirational.”
Until then—keep laughing, keep building, and remember: blog schedules are just really polite suggestions.
Serious E-D-Ucation. Hilarious Fun!
